Good Neighbors Mozambique is looking for an Income Generation Officer to be based inMacia, Gaza Province.
DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Income Generation officer
Principal Location: Macia, Gaza Province.
Main Duties &Responsibilities
- Examine the IGD members documents
- Check the loan history of members
- Prepare loan request lists
- Train the cooperative/IGD members on how to record in the offline platform
- Support IGD coop on stock management to guarantee quality
- Visit each IGD member house and get full information
- Deal with Maize peeler and milling machine Busness
- Deal with tractors operations
- Travel request, Budject request, Expense voucher activity reports, purchasing, sales of crop
- Report to IGD Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree or technical level in agronomy or related field
- Fluency in English, Portuguese, and the local language (spoken and written)
PERSON SPECIFICATION
ESSENTIAL
Experience Required:
- Have experience working in NGOs or similar.
- Having a background in the field of agriculture is an advantage.
- Have knowledge in the area of community development.
- Ability to manage agricultural credit
- Good interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skills
- Having experience in the commercial area is an advantage
Any Other Special Requirements:
- Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, Power-point presentation
- Training skills, participatory skills
- Understand agribusiness in Mozambique.
- Understand the context of climate change on agriculture.
- Develop business and financial plan.
- Be available to travel to the field
- Know how to prepare a community business proposal in a context of associations/cooperatives
