Servtec /SBM is recruiting for its client, candidates for Construction Project Manager positions based in Cabo Delgado (Palma).

Responsibilities

Overall project management from start to completion
Define and document project scope, objectives and desired outcomes.
Create detailed schedules, project parameters, and budget expectations.
Coordinate and lead planning sessions for project development and execution.
Prepare a budget based on project scope.
Set and adhere to budgetary allocation.
Ensure project delivery is on time, as per scope and within the allocated budget.
Create and manage contracts with suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely deliveries.
Create and maintain detailed key project documentation.
Manage staffing and other resource needs to maximize potential for successful execution of projects.
Provide project updates to stakeholders as per demand and requirement.
Perform regular assessment of project execution to identify areas for improvement;
Undertake risk management to minimize potential risks.
Compile project risk mitigation plan.
Set and manage stakeholder expectations, both internally and externally.
Delegate project activities and duties in accordance with team members’ strengths and experience.
Track project performance periodically to ensure both short-term and long-term goals are met and any deviations are addressed immediately.
Manage interdepartmental coordination to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering/Project Management or equivalent.
Fluency in Portuguese and English.
Minimum of 10 years working in construction projects.
Track record of managing large-scale, complex construction projects.
In-depth knowledge of project management techniques, including use of software such as MS Project, Primavera P6 or similar.
Understanding of building codes, regulations and safety standards
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to solve problems effectively and make decisions under pressure.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
