Heading is recruiting for its client, an oil and gas company, an Customs Complience Officer (M/F) to be based in Cabo Delgado.
Main responsibilities:
– Based on existing regulations provide to TEPMA1’over customs formalities for entry of equipment.
– Trace key transaction information (BL, commercial invoice, and other required docs) to determine if available. Index and create tracking files to initiate clearance process, once documents are received.
– Engage with clearing agent for shipments arriving and entering from Nacala, before & upon shipping authorization been placed;
– Liaise with logistic team for arriving and cleared shipments and review payments related customs.
– Monitor TEPMA1 imports activities in compliance to existing legislation;
– Interface with customs to assist contractor and subcontractor when is necessary; of contractors to ensure compliance and alignment with
– Company requirements and contractual obligations.
– Produce weekly activity report and maintain TEPMA1 Customs filling system.
– Acquire basic HSE awareness by knowing the One-MAESTRO framework, the TEPMA1 HSE & biodiversity policies, and the 12 Golden Rules.
– Comply with mandatory HSE trainings (HSE Induction and the e-learnings One MAESTRO etc.) Context and Environment:
– Capacity to perform your duties diligently, particularly during stressful period.
– Stay well informed of updates and changes in regulations, affecting company procedures and operations, or by attending to training provided by legislators and create good relationship with customs.
Accountabilities:
– Promote compliance and diligently following all company policies and regulations.
– Ensure continuous awareness and understanding of policies and regulations.
– Ensure the reconciliation of service exceptions through generation of applicable reports and data (overdue service dates, excused service failures, refresh reports, etc)
– Ensure consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.
Qualifications/Experience required:
– Bachelor’s Degree in business/audit or other relevant fields and customs curse certification.
– Minimum 3 years ‘experience in Oil & Gas and 6 years ‘experience and good knowledge on customs area
– Knowledge/working experience with customs Single Window System (JUE)-Customs System
– Experience in EPC, Contractor, Sub-contractor customs activities supervision
– Good knowledge of Customs Formalities, processes, systems and documentation flows and requirements, combined with good organizational Skills.
– Good skills in Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
– Fluent oral and written knowledge of English and Portuguese required
– Driver’s license and 5 years+ driving experience
